$599 Pop Up Trade Show Displays…too good to be true?
You’re seen the advertisement. 10’ deluxe pop up trade show displays $599. LIFETIME WARRANTY. Made in USA? Not really. They are ALL Chinese popup displays of one kind or another.
On the internet they all look the same what gives? How can popup displays vary in price from $599 to $3000? There can’t be that much difference, can there?
Start by reading the legal statement…first clue is you don’t see it on the home page. Second clue…their legal statement is 207 LINES LONG!! 207 LINES LONG for a simple display and graphics.
Does this sound like someone who will stand behind their product? Don’t look closely, and you will still see lots of “LEGAL WEASLEL WORDS”. Is this the kind of company you want to deal with?
Next is the lifetime warranty. Great, if you like waiting for replacement parts and fixing your own display.
These imported displays come with more small parts that tend to get lost/break. How many shows have you been to where you see displays erected with no end panels attached? Worse yet, duct tape holding it all together.
Blow molded case…not covered by the warranty. OOPPS! Try and ship your case without a box and you are guaranteed not making it to the destination with the top/contents intact.
Case WILL crack/split when dropped from as little as a foot off the ground….read your legal disclaimer…not covered.
Real fun when you have limited time to get ready for your show that you spent thousands of dollars on. Just how do you want to spend your time at the show? YOU NEED TO SELL your product/service.
Your display is a reflection of your company. How Professional/successful do want your company to look?
At $695 our Imported Economy popup has a rotomolded case which will survive UPS/Fed Ex intact. It also has fire retardant fabric panels, something picky Fire Marshals look for. If you happen to get one looking at your display, guess what, your display is not going to be allowed to be put up.
We at Trade Show Display Depot have been manufacturing pop up trade show displays since the ‘80’s and have numerous patents and accolades. It took 2 years of searching the Asian (China) marketplace for a decent inexpensive popup display that we would stand behind.
On our proprietary “ShowBooth” line of popups, we have the only Patented telescoping channel bars. Instead of 21 channel bars to attach, your have only 7. These bars are designed to support the weight, instead of the bars hanging on the frame, also unique.
We also use Melded Fabric “Frontrunner” and “Prelude” fabric available in all 50+ colors. This is considered to be the Cadillac of fabric. Multiple Velcro uses will not destroy it.
This is another downfall of the $599 display; they don’t glue the entire panel. At some point, you will pull off your detachable graphics and the fabric will come with it because the entire panel is not glued on.
In short, in life there is no free lunch. You get what you pay for. This is not to say that all inexpensive displays are bad. Just educate yourself before purchasing a unit. If you are not sure if you are not going to do more than one show, the “BETTER” Chinese units are acceptable.
